Radically Accessible mining

Maven Exploration was created by women and is building for everyone.

Maven Exploration is a mining company, headquartered in Canada and focused on mineral exploration. We our core operating ethos is radically accessible mining, meaning we prioritize transparency by building in the open, sharing real-time project data, the reasons behind operational decisions, and exploration results with the people who participate in our work.

What is early-stage mineral exploration?

Early-stage mineral exploration describes work that happens before a mine exists. It is the process of searching for mineral deposits in the ground, testing whether those deposits contain enough valuable material to justify further development, and determining whether a mine can be developed.

Exploration can happen on land with no existing infrastructure (called greenfield exploration) or in areas where mining has occurred before (called brownfield exploration). This work is a critical step in finding many of the commodities we use in everyday life, including gold, copper, and silver.

What does Radical accessibility mean?

COMMUNICATE IN PLAIN LANGUAGE

We communicate in plain language with open doors. Technical jargon, limited disclosure, and institutional gatekeeping have kept most people on the outside of this industry.

We publish what we find, explain what it means, and show how decisions get made.

When we drill, you see the results. When we face a challenge, you hear about it. When we make a choice about where to focus next, you understand why. This is how we build trust.

EARLY, OFTEN AND ONGOING ENGAGEMENT

FOCUSING ON SOCIETAL CONTRIBUTION

We are focused on minerals that form the base of the energy transition. Right now, we are exploring opportunities with copper and silver.

MEASURING SUCCESS

We measure success through shared prosperity and long-term stewardship. Every choice we make accounts for the impact it leaves on people, land, and future generations. Short-term wins mean little if they compromise what comes after.

We engage with rights holders and communities from the earliest phases of our projects, because the people closest to the land deserve a seat at the table as decisions are taken.
